As a popular and proven model on tour, Callaway leaned on the input of its staff players when developing the Utility Wood, crafting it with a compact shape and a neutral face angle to ensure top-notch workability.

A triaxial carbon crown and tungsten Speed Wave highlight the Apex UW's performance technologies. Together, the lightweight crown and heavier sole weighting strategically redistribute mass throughout the head, enhancing ball speed and forgiveness while optimizing launch and spin. The Speed Wave is also particularly helpful in retaining speed on low face strikes, a common miss when clipping a longer club off the turf.

The Apex UW also showcases Callaway's step sole, which comprises a noticeable dropoff from the center of the sole to its trailing edge. The stepped geometry improves turf interaction while reducing drag, promoting cleaner and more consistent strikes from any lie, including the fairway or rough.
