Cannon Sole was developed to acieve optimal weighting and a faster face. By placing a sole weight just behind the face, we're providing launch conditions that skilled golfers expect from their fairway woods. A weight pad floats just above to provide relief for the thin flexible sole and resembles the shape of a cannon.
A stepped crown lowers mass within the club head, moving the center of gravity down and increasing overall MOI. That lowered mass raises launch and provides more distance. Added MOI means more forgiveness and more consistency on every shot.
The 3W and 3W+ use a strong but lightweight carbon weave in place of a metal crown. Larger than previous generations, this carbon crown repositions mass low and deep, pushing MOI up and increasing forgiveness.
