The Sub Zero name carries an expectation of low spin and high MOI and the Mavrik Sub Zero delivers. The 450cc head features 2 interchangeable weights for changes to launch angle and spin-rate.
Features of the 2020 Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero Driver:
Sub Zero Model
Once unheard of, the combination of low-spin and high MOI is in it's 5th generation from Callaway. The Sub Zero has a slightly smaller head volume at 450cc, interchangeable weights, neutral ball flight bias, and a slightly flatter lie angle compared to the MAX and standard Mavrik models.
Flash Face SS20:
Enhanced A.I. architecture promotes faster ball speeds across the thinner, high strength FS2S Titanium face. This extremely strong material is 6 grams lighter than traditional titanium for optimal speed, forgiveness, and spin robustness.
Cyclone Shape:
The new Cyclone head shape is shallower from front to back with a flatter crown, and a sole design that sweeps upward dramatically in the rear to create a markedly higher trailing edge for decreased drag and increased clubhead speed.
Jailbreak and T2C Triaxial Carbon Crown:
Two internal Jailbreak bars connect the sole and crown to promote fast ball speed, and the significantly lighter carbon crown allowed Callaway to redistribute weight for higher MOI.
Acoustic A.I.:
Artificial intelligence was used to design a sophisticated internal rib system that fine-tunes the head to promote a deeper, highly satisfying sound.
